Dr S S Khan (m)

Dr Khan is the Senior Partner. He moved to Manchester in 1978 to complete his GP vocational training to embark on a career in General Practice. In 1979, he joined Rochdale Road Medical Centre.


He is a member of the local medical committee and is also the founding member of the Patient Participation Group. He is currently a board member of GP Care and a member of the Individual Funding Request (IFR) Team. He is a GP appraiser, a teacher of Medical Undergraduate Students at Manchester University and also a clinical supervisor for foundation year two doctors.

Dr Khan aims to provide high standards of care in community Gynaecology problems such as prolapse, fertility, PCOS, urinary stress & urge, mixed incontinence problems, menopause problems, hormone replacement therapy, preventative medicine, STI screening and contraception needs.

Dr Shahid is GP Partner and Lead Clinician of Practice. With over 10 years post-graduation clinical experience in General medicine, he is committed to provide high quality patient care to Middleton and surrounding population. He joined practice in Dec 2014.He has special interest in Diabetes, Cardiology, Elderly care and Advance care plans. Working through recent transition in NHS, Dr Shahid is quite vocal about extending medical services in community, making easier access to patients.He is an accredited undergraduate tutor of medical students and trainer of Foundation year doctors in North West Deanery. He is also an OSCE Examiner at Manchester University

Dr Khan joined the practice in 2015, becoming a GP partner on the 1st April 2016. He has special interests in minor surgery, joint injection and the teaching of medical students.

Dr Syeda joined the practice is 2015. She has a special interest in paediatrics.
